Professor Fiona Brookman and Dr. Helen Jones submitted evidence to the Science and Technology Committee in the House of Lords
Professor Fiona Brookman and Dr. Helen Jones from the Centre for Criminology at USW submitted written evidence to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee’s inquiry into forensic science. Informed by findings gathered from their Homicide Investigation and Forensic Science Project (a four-year ethnographic study funded by the Leverhulme Trust), their written evidence answered three broad areas covered by the Inquiry: the forensic science research landscape, the use of forensic science in the Criminal Justice System and digital forensics.
The written evidence was published on 6th March 2019 and can be accessed here. The final report, which will be produced by the Science and Technology Committee, will be published soon.
